Ep recording June 2009 - Day 7-9 Vocals & Stuff

Salve!!

I hope the sun shines on you.

We have hardly seen the sun in the last couple of days, so busy working with everything.

But both yesterday and today we got ourselves some sunbeams during the breakes.

We also want to make an apologize for the updates here on the blog in during the last days.

We have not had any internet near by, so thats why. Sorry.

The last two days we have been recording vocals with our producer Eric up in Åmål.

We are very satisfied with the result, with everything that is. Because now we are

nearly finished with all the recordings, or in fact we are.

Just some fixing and trixing with small stuff to go.

After that there will be mixing and so on.

But yeah such a good stomach feeling about it all, we are very pleased so far.

We had a fantastic week up in the cabin in the woods outside of Åmål, and also the last

couple of days in Gotheburg and Åmål have been so much fun.

Tomorrow we are going to take part in a photoshoot, hope it will turn out fine.

Ep recording June 2009 - Day 6 Piano & Keyboards

Bona sera!

Worked all day with piano & synthesizers.

Nice nice. 

The songs are begining to take form witch is very fun.

It's great to built the songs from scratch, kind of nice to watch them grow.

Markus & Ola came over to work with me and we also watched documentaries about

guitarists, kinds nerdy buy great!

One guy was amazing,

He's name was Tommy.

Tomorrow we will records more piano & synths plus some guitars and "klockspel" in swedish.

Ep recording June 2009 - Day 5 Pictures & text

Here is some pictures from day fifth day of recording.

We started with some additional guitars and moved on to percussion.

In the afternoon we took the train back to Gothenburg where we will continue the

recording of additional pianos, synthesizers, carillion among other stuff at my place.

This we will do on Saturday & Sunday, on Monday & Tuesday we will start the recording of

all the vocals.

Everything feels just great, we are really satisfied with the sound of everything so far.

Ep recording June 2009 - Day 4 - Guitars

Oh dear Oh dear.

What have we done here?

I think we might have created something quite extraordinary.

Or am I lying?!

No of course not.

I stayed up half the night recording acoustic guitars.

Went very well indeed I think.

Mac-Attack also stayed up until 5 Am this morning practising his heavy metal surf guitar solos, cool or not cool? You tell me....

Today I went in to the town of Karlstad. Eric picked me up 8 Am this morning, left me at the trainstation.

Got some writing done on the train.

In Karlstad I meet family & friends. Very very cozy indeed.

But now I'm back in nowhere-land, out in the dark woods in our old cabin.

Hehe yes I started 12 this morning with the heavy metal solos and it sounds fantastic!

I have recorded 3 songs of 4 now and Ill continue with the last one after next sunrise.

I have to practice more now but Ill write more about my progress tomorrow...

Ep Recording June - Day 3 Guitars

Lancelot here. Just nailed guitar on two tracks. One to go, then later on acoustic guitar on four tracks.
Last night we had a big barbeque party, very cozy feeling until some hours later.
I suddenly felt an aching pain in my stomach. I got so damn ill and puked like a cat.

No no no goodeooo....

Today I felt better and the recording sessions has gone very well so far, but the night is young.
Anything can happen out here in the woods, that is James Woods to you =)
